  •  Membership in the Colorado Velodrome Association

The CVA has the following membership categories for the 2010 season.

CVA membership fees have been simplified to one fee that covers both membership and track usage fees. For instance, most senior riders will pay $200 for the year, which includes both CVA membership and the annual track usage fee paid to the USOC. Last year's fees were $60 for CVA membership plus $100 for the track usage fee for a total cost of $160. Both membership and entry fees for 2010 have been updated to account for increased costs to run the velodrome and keep the CVA in the black as CVA membership and entry fees charged over the last four years haven't covered the CVA's basic costs for the season (officials, insurance, permit fees, prize list, etc.).

Please note that, in order to ride on the velodrome, you will also need a USACycling license. You may find information on this at the USACycling.org website.

    • Individual Racing Membership: $200
To qualify for this membership fee, riders must show a current USAC annual license. Annual licenses can be purchased at www.usacycling.org or at the velodrome.
        Benefits:
      • Includes all track usage fees for the season (May 1 through October 31, 2010)
      • Member discount on entry fees for CVA Tuesday and Thursday night race series
      • Assignment of a permanent number for the season
      • Bike storage at the velodrome and locker room access
      • Members qualify for the CVA Rider of the Year points toward an overall cash prize list. Points will be accumulated from your date of membership.
    • Collegiate Racing Membership: $100
To qualify for this rate, riders must show a current USAC/NCCA license. Annual licenses can be purchased at www.usacycling.org or at the velodrome.
        Benefits:
      • Includes all of the benefits listed under the Individual Racing Membership above
      • Riders must wear their collegiate jersey when competing on Tuesday and Thursday nights
    • Junior Basic Membership: $100
To qualify for this rate, a rider must have a valid USAC annual license and have a racing age of 16 and under. Annual licenses can be purchased at www.usacycling.org or at the velodrome.
        Benefits:
      • Includes all of the benefits listed under the Individual Racing Membership above except qualification for the CVA Rider of the Year
      • Additionally, Junior CVA members race for free on Tuesday and Thursday nights
    • Junior Plus Membership: $150
To qualify for this rate, a rider must have a valid USAC annual license and have a racing age of 16 and under.
        Benefits:
      • Includes all of the benefits of the Junior Basic Membership and a CVA loaner bike available exclusively for your use for the season
    • Non-Racing Membership: $20
This fee allows you to be covered by the USAC CVA club insurance when you are volunteering at the track and has the added benefit of supporting the CVA in promoting track racing in Colorado!
    • Club Membership: $35
All clubs are encouraged to join the CVA to have voting rights at the annual meeting and help decide the future direction of track racing in Colorado. Who knows? We may come up with some fun Best All Around Team competition for members clubs, too! It could involve a trophy.

To join the CVA, simply complete the membership form today and send it electronically to cvatrack@gmail.com, and then pay your fee by check or cash on the first training session or race night in which you participate. You may also mail the completed form with a check made out to the CVA (no cash please) to CVA, 236 Writers Way, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Sorry: We cannot accept credit cards.
